Wat is het verschil tussen PLA en PCL filament?

PCL smelt op een lage temperatuur en is daarom geschikt voor kinderen vanaf 6 jaar; het hardt snel uit en de punt van de pen blijft relatief koel. PLA smelt op een hogere temperatuur, is steviger en geeft een strakker resultaat, maar hoort bij pennen voor 14 jaar en ouder.

Kan ik PLA in een PCL-pen gebruiken, of andersom?

Nee. De twee soorten werken op verschillende temperaturen en zijn niet uitwisselbaar. PLA in een PCL-pen smelt niet goed en kan de pen verstoppen; PCL in een PLA-pen wordt te heet en gaat lekken. Kijk dus altijd welk filament bij jouw pen hoort.

Welk filament heb ik nodig voor mijn Fits4Kids pen?

PCL: 3D Pen Race Kit en 3D Pen Starterspakket Draadloos.
PLA: 3D Pen Starterspakket XXL en de Starterspakket S.
Twijfel je? De verpakking van je pen vermeldt het filamenttype.

Past dit filament ook op pennen van andere merken?

In de meeste gevallen wel. Onze filamenten hebben de gangbare diameter van 1,75 mm, dus ze passen op vrijwel elke 3D pen die met PLA of PCL van 1,75 mm werkt. Controleer wel altijd wat de fabrikant van jouw pen voorschrijft.

Hoeveel filament zit er in een set?

100 meter in totaal, verdeeld over 20 kleuren van elk 5 meter. Genoeg voor een flink aantal projecten, en je kunt kleuren los blijven combineren.

Hoe bewaar ik filament het beste?

Droog en op kamertemperatuur, uit direct zonlicht. Laat losse strengen niet slingeren maar houd ze bij elkaar, dan blijven ze recht en schuiven ze soepel door de pen.

Is het filament veilig voor kinderen?

Ja. Beide soorten zijn niet-giftig en reukloos. Wel geldt hetzelfde als bij elke 3D pen: de punt wordt warm, dus richt de pen nooit op de huid en laat jonge kinderen onder toezicht werken.

Can I track my order?
