Frequently asked questions about magnetic toys

From what age is magnetic toy suitable?

Our magnetic tiles are suitable from 3 years old. The tiles are large, sturdy and easy for small hands to hold.

Which set is suitable for which age?

3 to 5 years. Start with flat shapes and a first small tower. A smaller set is enough here, such as Road Trip Rally with 24 pieces or Police Patrol HQ with 28 pieces. Large tiles, clear shapes, quick results.

5 to 8 years. Building really takes off here and a child wants to create a world instead of just one house. Sets of 37 to 76 pieces work well, such as Princess Paradise, Jungle Journey or Farmyard Frenzy.

8 years and older. Now it becomes technical. The Marble Adventure Track with 136 pieces is a magnetic marble run where you design the route yourself, and the Tangram Tactician with 252 pieces is more of a jigsaw puzzle than a building set.

What is a good set for a 4-year-old child?

A set of 24 to 32 pieces. Big enough to build a house or a car, small enough to tidy up by themselves. Road Trip Rally, Police Patrol HQ and Fire Fighters fall into that category.

Is magnetic toy still fun for children aged 8 to 12?

Yes, but with a different focus. From about eight years old, it is about construction and engineering, not just stacking. The magnetic marble run and the Tangram edition provide that challenge, and adults often join in naturally.

How many tiles do you need to get started?

For a first introduction, 24 to 30 pieces is enough. From about 50 pieces, a child can build a house with multiple floors without running out of tiles. If two children are playing together, count on 70 pieces or more. You can always expand, because all sets fit together.

Can you combine different sets?

Absolutely! All Fits4Kids magnetic tiles fit together, and they also combine with tiles from other well-known brands.

Magnetic tiles, magnetic blocks or magic tiles: is that the same thing?

Yes. You will come across magnetic tiles under different names online. It is the same toy: flat tiles with magnets in the edges that click together.

What is a magnetic marble run?

This is a set that lets you build a track for marbles to roll through using the same tiles. You decide the route yourself, so it can be different every time you tidy up. Our Marble Adventure Track has 136 pieces.

Are magnetic toys safe?

Yes. All sets are EN71-tested and the magnets are securely enclosed in the tiles, so they cannot come out.

What does my child learn from magnetic tiles?

Building with magnetic tiles trains spatial awareness, fine motor skills and creativity. Children discover shapes, balance and construction through play: STEM toys in their most fun form.

How much does magnetic toy cost?

You can see the current prices for the sets above. What you pay depends mainly on the number of pieces.

When will my order arrive?

If you order on a working day, your package will usually arrive the next day. Shipping is free on orders over €50.
