From what age is a 3D pen suitable for children?
Our wireless children's pens work with low-temperature PCL filament and are suitable from age 6. Classic pens with PLA filament are suitable from age 14. Starting together is always the best way.
Which 3D pen is right for my child?
All starter kits are complete, so you do not need anything extra to get started. The difference lies in the pen and the amount of filament included.
Starter Kit S. The entry-level model, with PLA filament. Great if you want to see if it is a good fit first.
Wireless Starter Kit, in pink or blue. No cord getting in the way, low-temperature PCL filament and a video course with 20 videos. Convenient for younger children drawing independently at the table.
Race Kit, in pink or blue. The same wireless pen, plus five vehicle templates, 34 meters of filament and a pull-back car. Your child draws a vehicle, clicks it on and lets it drive.
Starter Kit. The most comprehensive package, with 28 colors of filament and PLA.

How much does a 3D pen cost?
You can see the current prices above with the packages. Everything is included in each package, so you do not need to buy extra filament right away. Separate 100-meter refills are available for both PCL and PLA.
What exactly is a 3D pen?
A 3D pen looks like a thick marker, but it does not use ink. The pen heats a thin strand of plastic that comes out as a soft string and hardens within a few seconds. This allows you to draw in the air instead of on paper. You might also see the pen referred to online as a 3D marker or 3D drawing pen.
Is a 3D pen safe for children?
Yes. Our children's pens are EN71 tested (the European toy standard) and work with PCL filament that melts at a low temperature. We always recommend supervision the first few times.
What is the difference between PCL and PLA filament?
PCL melts at a low temperature and is used with the wireless children's pens and the Race Kit. PLA works at a higher temperature and is used with the classic XXL starter kit. Always check which filament fits your pen.
What is included in a starter kit?
Everything to get started right away: the 3D pen, filament in many colors, a stencil booklet, and a storage case. With the wireless kits, you also get a video course with 20 videos.
How long does a roll of filament last?
A 100-meter refill lasts for quite a few drawing sessions. Exactly how long depends on how thick you draw. The refills come with 20 colors, so you do not use up the same color all the time.
Does filament from another brand work too?
Usually yes, as long as the thickness is correct and you use the right type: PCL for a PCL pen and PLA for a PLA pen. If you use the wrong type, the pen will jam.
What can you make with a 3D pen?
